Bentley's contemporary edge

Connecting and collaborating with The Surgeon

November 28, 2022

Collaboration can bring out some of the best elements within a brand and when this is fused together with another brands identity and they compliment eachother, this results in creative ecstasy.

What do you get when you cross a luxury heritage brand known for making elegant cars like Bentley. A contemporary sportswear giant, like Adidas and you merge this together with a young LA based design collective called The Surgeon, answer, edgy elegance, a fusion of heritage and modern flair.

Dominic Ciambrone, the man behind the trainer customisation brand visited Bentleys headquarters earlier in the year to see how the customisation department within Bentley operated and how best to compliment the sneakers he was due to create.

An amazing collection of 10 pairs of bespoke Adidas Forum low sneakers alongside a 1 of 1 were produced and have already been snapped up by Bentley Mulliner collectors and clients as collectibles.

Every pair incorporates specialist design features from Bentley, including the diamond quilted affect and signature cross stitching seen on the Bentley steering wheel and premium leather features of the interiors of their cars.

The sneakers come in a range of colours which echo the interior colours of the Mulliner with luscious Beluga blacks and dark metallic Anthracite greys, which mimic the exterior colours available on their vehicles

As Basel Art in Miami approaches in December, the unveiling of a special Bentley Mulliner designed in collaboration with The Surgeon is set to have onlookers in awe. The Surgeon has also recently created bespoke sneakers for a wide range of clients including Justin Bieber.

Bentleys CEO Christophe Georges commented on the collaboration explaining that “connecting and producing with like-minded creatives like The Surgeon is not only rewarding but also exciting to watch as we support the next generation of diverse crafts people who share similar brand values“.
